Opportunities to Perform and Connect
I hope everyone enjoyed their fall break this weekend. We closed out November by giving back to our community through our Student Council Food Drive and Project Thanks. See the results of our amazing collective efforts below! We have stepped into December, and there has been a lot to celebrate. We only have three weeks until our winter break, but they are jam-packed with ways for our kids to keep our school community moving in a positive direction. Our winter sports teams are kicking off their regular seasons this coming week, and our band and choir groups will be putting in a lot of prep-work before their upcoming winter concerts. STAND, Power of the Pen, and Winter Sports Club are getting active in the coming weeks as well. I look forward to watching our kids continue to grow in who they are and what they want to achieve.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, school counselor, grade level principal, or me with any questions.
Thanks,
Erin
No one grows in their comfort zone.

PTA Reflections
It is that time of year again for the PTA reflections contest! This year's theme is "Accepting Imperfection". Only new and original works inspired by the theme will be accepted. Students may enter in one or more of the following art categories. Although students may submit entries in more than one category; only one submission per category is allowed. The categories are:
Dance Choreography
Literature
Photography
Film Production
Music Composition
Visual Arts
There is also a Special Artist division for all grades for those students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA with an IEP or 504. The PTA page for Reflections has been updated with this year's info as well.
Ohio Youth Art Competition
Students can stop by the bulletin board outside Mrs. Harold's art room to pick up a copy of the information and entry form for the Ohio YAM (that stands for Youth Art Month) Flag & Graphic Design contest. Students do NOT have to be taking an art class currently to enter. This is a great way for our kids to express themselves creatively and represent NRMS in a statewide art competition. Students can see Mrs. Harold with any questions and entries are due no later than WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11TH!
