middle school students

North Royalton Middle School (NRMS) celebrated the achievements of its top students during the annual Honor Society Induction Ceremony held on Thursday, September 26. The event recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and community service throughout their middle school years.

To be considered for this prestigious honor, students must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher during their fifth and sixth-grade years, as well as the first three quarters of their seventh-grade year. Additionally, candidates were required to exemplify the "BEAR Way" - a set of values that emphasize doing what's right, giving one's best effort, and treating others with respect.

Principal Erin Calabrese expressed pride in the inductees, stating, "These students represent North Royalton Middle School and their families each day. Their dedication to academic excellence, coupled with their commitment to our 'BEAR Way' values, sets a remarkable example for their peers. We are confident that these young leaders will continue to make significant contributions to our school and community as they progress in their educational journey."

At the ceremony, students heard speeches from North Royalton High School National Honor Society (NHS) Vice President Wade Dumm and NHS Member Gianna Cimino.

The induction process also included a personal element, with students completing an essay and application forms during the fourth quarter of their seventh-grade year. This comprehensive approach ensures that Honor Society members not only excel academically but also embody the character traits valued by the school community.

The ceremony served as a testament to the hard work and dedication of these exemplary students, while also highlighting the supportive educational environment fostered at North Royalton Middle School. As these students join the ranks of the NRMS Honor Society, they carry forward a tradition of excellence that will undoubtedly inspire future classes to strive for similar achievements.
