Kindness and the Kindness Walk
Embracing Kindness is one of our BEAR Way values, and Sept. 30-Oct. 4 we will be celebrating kindness with a spirit week and Kindness Walk-a-thon. Students will get more information to bring home on Wednesday this week. Above you will find our spirit week information.
As we move forward with the school year, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, school counselor, grade level principal, or me with any questions.

Tailgate
The fall tailgate on Wednesday, September 25 is a great way for all students to get involved at NRMS. Students can purchase tickets for $6.00 in the cafeteria. The ticket provides students with pizza, water, and chips during the tailgate, along with entrance into the 8th grade football game at the stadium. Please know that all students who attend the tailgate will be escorted to the stadium at approximately 4:15 PM. Once the game starts at 4:30 PM, students can be picked up at any time from the North Gate near the Board of Education building. We will not be allowing students to leave the stadium without a parent/guardian. Expect a phone call if your student tells us you are allowing them to leave the stadium to go elsewhere (fast food restaurant, Memorial Park, etc.).
Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
Students in the 6th grade will be taking the CogAT on Tuesday, October 4. Please click here to view an informational letter regarding this assessment.
Basketball Open Gym/Tryouts
Though it seems hard to believe, it is time to start looking ahead at the winter sports season. Below you will find the open gym and tryout schedule for girls basketball; we will release information about boys basketball in the coming weeks.
NRMS Fundraiser Conclusion & Cookie Dough Pick-up
Our Fall Fundraiser is now over. Cookie dough is the only item that does not get shipped to the customer. Please check your student’s account to see orders. All cookie dough orders will need to be picked up at NRMS on October 17 from 3:30-6:00 p.m.
