May at NRMS

We are approaching the end of the school year, and there is a lot going on! I have no doubt that the final weeks of this school year will offer us opportunities to reflect and celebrate all that our students have accomplished as members of our NRMS community. Without a doubt, your middle schooler has grown this year in their understanding of themselves and others.

As we continue with the fourth academic quarter, I know that our students will continue to work hard in the classroom and demonstrate the expectations of The BEAR Way. As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, school counselor, grade level principal or me with any questions.

Thanks,

Erin

Transportation: This Month’s Bear Update

In this month's "A Bear Update" video message, we provide an update regarding transportation plans for the next school year. Mr. Laub explains the factors that are prompting us to consider changes to our current approach and shares the steps we have taken so far to plan and communicate with all stakeholders, including administrators, board members, PTA, the police department, private schools, and others. While it is not mentioned in the video, please know we have also communicated with other districts that are already bussing their middle and high school students together.

The video also outlines our strategies for recruiting and retaining bus drivers and details our next steps to ensure continuous communication with our school families and the broader community. A final decision will be made and communicated to everyone by the end of May. In August, we will provide another update to the school community.

Clothing Donations Help NRMS Students

Please consider donating used clothing, footwear, undergarments, accessories, handbags, and linens to the North Royalton Middle School Clothes Bin which is located near the athletic parking lot.  It is a large green container.  This helps support North Royalton Middle School.

7th to 8th Grade Scheduling

7th graders are scheduling for the 2024-2025 school year. Our 7th grade counselor, Mrs. Paolino is helping our students with scheduling over the next couple of weeks. Please use this link to see what courses are available for your future 8th grader; this document does not include band, choir or foreign language (for which you must qualify).

Visitor ID

Each building in the district recently installed schoolSAFEid stations in their main offices. When you arrive to pick-up a student or check-in for an event, please know you will be asked for photo identification. Thank you for your cooperation.
