North Royalton High School Theatre is bringing the beloved story of everyone's favorite ogre to life with their upcoming production of "Shrek The Musical." Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig, this family-friendly show promises to enchant audiences of all ages.
The production, featuring music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, will run for four performances: Thursday through Saturday, November 14-16, at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on November 17 at 2 p.m.
Originally produced on Broadway by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, this stage adaptation brings the magical world of Far Far Away to North Royalton's stage. The musical tells the unlikely love story of a grumpy ogre and a spirited princess, celebrating acceptance and the beauty of being true to oneself.
