North Royalton City Schools salutes the 94 students who were named AP Scholars based on the results of their AP tests this past spring.  These students were both juniors and seniors.  The AP program offers college-level curriculum and exams for high school students. Each year, students take AP exams in multiple subjects and by earning a high score on the test, are awarded an AP Scholar Award. NRHS offers 19 Advanced Placement Courses: American Government, United States History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Psychology, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics I, Physics II, French, Spanish, Computer Science Principles, Computer Science A , Music Theory and Composition.

The AP awards have several categories. NRHS had 42 AP Scholars, 16 AP Scholars with Honors, and 36 AP Scholars with Distinction.

The AP Scholar Award is earned by students who receive scores of three or higher on three or more AP exams. This year's recipients are Lia Armstrong, Siddhi Aswani, Jacob Brewer, Sarah Burdick, Hope Campbell, Ethan Canavan, Lukas Cengic, Kyan Davis, Marija Djordjevic, Arjun Giannakidis, Logan Greer, Safa Hameed, Japhia Hannah Isaac Jaya Arthur, Victoria Jacin-Cain, Mehakveer Kandola, Shaun Knox, Olivia Kovach, Haven Kranick, Joseph Kulig, Sergej Kuzmanov, Peishan Li, John Mattes, Arin Mehta, Brendan Moran, Michael Olexa, Emma Ondrish, Catherine Popa, Charles Putnam, Arleen Rai, Dylan Rees, Elana Scocos, Shaun Sekura, Makena Shroka, Brooke Sposit, Connor Stafford, David Swab, Aangee Vakil, Criss Ann Valenti, Haylie Villao, Sunee Watthanaphand, Isabella Weatherbie, and Alex Zekanovic.

The AP Scholar with Honor Award is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and a score of three or higher on four or more of these exams. This year's recipients are Grady Bokoch, Varuni Chopra, Harikrishnan Kasi, Daniel Lee, Nathan Manson, Fiona Parker, Gabriel Poplin, Bryce Ransbottom, Kyle Sandborn, Akshaj Satyawada, Anna Scaria, Elaine Steel, Iaan Ung, Reese Vollweiler, Malia Weatherbie, and Elizabeth White. 

The AP Scholar with Distinction Award is for students who earn an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on five or more of these exams. This year's recipients are Gabriel Aboumrad, Kyle Adkins, Aswath Anand, Brandon Barrett, Zachary Bitterman, Dominic Bogielski, Alexander Brihn, Charles Cao, Casey Charles, William Cronin, Tyler Darby, Nicholas Falasco, Ian Finnecy, Makayla Fulmer, Madelyn Geschke, Emily Hain, Matthew Jedacek, Thomas Joniec, Akshita Kannan, Elizabeth Koetter, Nadiia Kozubiak, Prathisha Krishna, Kaitlyn Messick, Craig Minnick, Andrew Oriold, Anjali Patel, Parija Patel, Susanna Patten, Sandheep Ranganathan, Brianna Rush, Olivia Safranek, Nathan Sawyer, Neerja Shah, Mary Titterington, Mallory Vish and Ryan Watrobski.

The AP Scholar Awards recognize students who have shown college-level achievement. Students who earn an award will have the designation appear on any AP score report sent to potential colleges. In addition to an award, high scores on AP exams can earn students college credit.
