North Royalton City Schools has announced the appointment of Steffani Cicerchi as the District’s new Director of Pupil Services. Cicerchi will officially step into the role following the retirement of current director Julie Bogden.
With nearly two decades of experience in education and leadership, Cicerchi brings a strong background in student support services, instructional leadership, and special education. She currently serves as principal of Lander Elementary School in Mayfield City Schools, where she has been instrumental in advancing student achievement through data-informed practices, professional development, and family engagement.
“We are thrilled to welcome Steffani Cicerchi back to North Royalton City Schools,” said Superintendent Michael Laub. “She is an advocate for every student and is an active member of our community and school district. Her experience, relationships and work ethic make her an outstanding addition to our team.”
During her time at Mayfield, Cicerchi played a leading role in several high-impact district initiatives. She helped design and facilitate professional development for visiting superintendents through the EdLeader21 network and presented Mayfield’s work on Portrait of a Graduate, PLCs, and the elementary schedule at the 2023 EdLeader21 Conference. As a key member of the district’s Portrait Project Committee, she worked to align student outcomes with Mayfield’s beliefs, vision, and mission.
Cicerchi also supported the alignment of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) across the district and played a critical role in reviewing and aligning K–5 ELA curriculum to the Science of Reading and Ohio Department of Education standards. She partnered with school leaders to revamp the PBIS process, which led to Lander Elementary earning a Bronze Award from ODE for Tier I implementation.
Her leadership extended to student voice and engagement, as she created and facilitated the Superintendent Student Advisory Group and provided regular consultation on social-emotional learning curriculum for grades K–5.
Cicerchi’s career also includes service as assistant principal at Millridge Elementary, intervention specialist at North Royalton Middle School, and leadership roles in student services, special education, and staff development. She holds a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Ursuline College and is on track to complete her Superintendent Licensure through Concordia University in 2025.
In her new role, Cicerchi will oversee special education, related services, and support programs across the District, working closely with families, educators, and administrators to ensure every student receives the resources they need to thrive.
"I'm incredibly honored and excited to begin this new chapter in the District where I first started my journey as an educator,” said Cicerchi. “Returning to serve the community that helped shape my career feels both meaningful and energizing. I look forward to working alongside dedicated colleagues, families, and most importantly our students in order to continue to ensure that we are fostering an environment where each student is supported and successful."
Cicerchi will assume her new position on August 1.
