The North Royalton Stadium Foundation has officially completed its financial commitment to the Serpentini Stadium turf replacement project with a final payment of $76,556.06. This contribution brings the total amount raised by the Foundation to $516,556.06, covering the full cost of the turf replacement that began in May 2023.
At the time of the project’s launch, the Foundation did not have the full funding in hand but remained confident that their continued fundraising efforts would close the gap. Their commitment to enhancing and maintaining Serpentini Stadium has been unwavering, and this final payment marks the successful completion of their mission.
The check was officially presented at the March 6 North Royalton Board of Education meeting, symbolizing yet another milestone in the Foundation’s dedication to supporting student-athletes, band members, and the entire North Royalton community.
The Stadium Foundation, a group of dedicated citizens and school officials, has worked tirelessly over the years to fund stadium improvements without the use of District dollars. Their efforts, including annual golf outings, sponsorship renewals, and partnerships with the North Royalton Educational Foundation, have played a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading the stadium facilities.
Beyond funding the turf replacement, the Foundation has also contributed to stadium repairs, upgrades, and even co-funded the installation of a state-of-the-art video scoreboard. Their ongoing efforts ensure that Serpentini Stadium remains a premier venue for athletics, band performances, and community events for years to come.
“The North Royalton City Schools extend their deepest gratitude to the Stadium Foundation and all supporters who helped make this project a reality,” said Superintendent Michael Laub. “Their dedication is a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common goal.”
To continue supporting stadium enhancements, families and businesses can still secure a lasting tribute through a sponsorship sign. Show your support for our student-athletes, band members, and Bear Teams with a 10x5’ banner, prominently displayed above the West (Home) grandstands for maximum visibility at all events. These durable banners remain in place for five to 10 years, and only five spaces remain available. Families can even team up to share the cost of a sign and create a legacy of support.
