The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) has named North Royalton Elementary School a 2024 OAESA Hall of Fame School. The Hall of Fame School Award recognizes schools that engage faculty, students, and the community to provide a quality school experience. The school staff submitted an extensive application documenting the effectiveness of their educational program in several areas. Hall of Fame Schools were selected by committees of OAESA members.

OAESA will recognize winners of the Hall of Fame Award during OAESA’s centennial celebration this June 17 at the OAESA Professional Conference and Tradeshow at the Hilton Easton in Columbus, Ohio.  Locally, representatives of OAESA will be attending the District’s May 16 Board of Education meeting to recognize the school and its staff.

“Being recognized with this amazing award is truly a reflection of the wonderful culture we have worked to establish at NRES,” said Principal Kirk Pavelich, North Royalton Elementary School. “We have come so far in the three years we have been at the new building. The entire school community - students, staff and parents - have worked so hard toward this goal and are so deserving of this honor. This award makes you realize how blessed we are to work in a building that is so special because of the students, staff and parents who are members of our team”

Presented annually since 1984, the OAESA Hall of Fame Award honors educational programs that go above and beyond meeting the needs of elementary students across the state. As one of only seven Hall of Fame Schools for 2024, NRES will receive a plaque as well as a $1,000 award that can be used for the students and staff.

Award winning schools are ones that engage faculty, students and the community to provide a quality educational experience. Once the building received a nomination, the staff submitted a 25 page application documenting the effectiveness of their educational program in areas such as instructional system, student achievement, school improvement, positive culture, leadership and community partnerships. Schools that are nominated for this distinction receive an on-site visit from OAESA members if they first meet the criteria outlined in the extensive and rigorous application process. North Royalton Elementary’s site visit was March 5.

“I think we have an incredible team at North Royalton Elementary School.  Teachers, support staff and administration work hard every day to provide the best experience possible to our students and their families.  I couldn’t be more proud,” said Superintendent Michael Laub, North Royalton City Schools.

Located in Columbus, the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators serves Ohio’s Pre-K, elementary, middle level, and central office administrators by providing professional development, legal consultation, professional publications and networking opportunities.
