national merit students

At the April 11 Board of Education meeting, North Royalton High School Principal Sean Osborne proudly recognized six exceptional students who have been honored as National Merit Commended Students and Finalists.

"These six students represent some of the brightest, academically high-performing students at NRHS," said Principal Osborne. "They have taken full advantage of the opportunities available to them in our district and have become well-rounded, active learners along the way."

The honored students include:

Class of 2024 National Merit Commended Students:

  • Matthew Jedacek

  • Parija Patel

  • Shaun Sekura

  • Mallory Vish

Class of 2024 National Merit Finalists:

  • Alexander Brihn

  • Allison Krzywicki

According to Osborne, these students have distinguished themselves with an average GPA of 4.38, taking an average of 9.5 AP courses, 10 Honors courses, 3.5 World Language courses, and 2.5 College Credit Plus courses. Their academic excellence is further exemplified by an average ACT score of 34.2.

"What is most remarkable is that these students have been engaged in our schools for an average of 12.5 years, taking full advantage of all that North Royalton Schools have to offer," Osborne added. "We are incredibly proud to call them Bears and celebrate their outstanding achievements."
