A Bear Update - January 2024
Hello Bear Families,
Winter is clearly upon us! At this point, we have had a little bit of everything, cold, snow, ice and even an electrical outage. It is our goal to be in school every day, but we must do that safely. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate these situations and work to keep our students and staff safe.
If you recall, we also had to have a non-school day for our elementary students in November due to voting at North Royalton Elementary School. At that time, we stated that we were working with the Board of Elections to try and move the March primary out of the elementary school so we would not have to cancel school for elementary students in March. I am excited to say that with the help of Mayor Antoskiewicz, the elementary will not be a polling location in March. More details will be coming about this change, but we wanted to let families know this information for planning purposes.
Believe it or not, this is the time of year when administration begins the process of reviewing staffing and programming for next school year. We have been working hard behind the scenes to identify needs so we can start posting open positions for the 2024-25 school year. Those positions will be posted over the next few weeks and will continue throughout the spring.
Finally, we want to take a moment to thank all of the support groups in our District. We have an incredible community of volunteers who continue to do incredible things for our students and staff. Our PTA units, Booster organizations and the North Royalton Education Foundation and North Royalton Stadium Foundation continue to provide incredible resources and support that provide additional opportunities for our students and staff. We thank you for all that you do.
Have a great month everyone!
