A Bear Update - A Monthly Connection to North Royalton City Schools

Hello Bear Families!

The first quarter is in the books and so is the fall competition season.  Congratulations to all of our clubs, activities and athletics who wrapped up their seasons in the fall.  Our classrooms are filled with great learning experiences every day, but these activities outside of the classroom are also great learning opportunities.  We are proud of how our students compete, learn and grow both in the classroom and through our extracurricular and co-curricular programs.

It is November and we are preparing for the cold weather!  Just a reminder that we use the information that is in PowerSchool to make the call or send an email home if we need to close school.  We also send text messages to those who opt in.  Please make sure you have updated your student information in PowerSchool to ensure you receive these important messages.

Follow me on X (formerly Twitter) @LaubNRSD or download the North Royalton Schools APP to receive closure information and other important school news.

We are excited to announce the completion of the baseball turf project.  In addition, the softball turf should be completed within the next few days.  We were able to finish these projects without asking for additional revenue from taxpayers or using any general fund dollars.  These fields will not only benefit baseball and softball, but other clubs and activities, including city groups, as well.

The transportation renovation and locker room project are well underway and are expected to be completed early in 2024.

It is clear that we have outstanding things happening inside and outside of the classroom.  In a month where we take some extra time to reflect on what we are thankful for, I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to work with the students, families and staff in our District.  Great things are happening and more great things are on the way.

Have a great month of November!

Thank you,

Mike
