Approved daycare centers that we will transport to and from: Beginner's World, Enrichment Center, Imagination Station, Loving Cup Kids Academy, and YMCA at North Royalton Elementary School for students attending the Elementary and Middle School.

During the school year, this form must be filled out and returned to the child’s school of attendance. DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, mail or fax the completed form directly to the Transportation Office.

Change Of Address

Families having a permanent change of address must report the new information to their child’s school of attendance. NO CHANGE OF ADDRESSES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT. A new bus will not be assigned until the school notifies the transportation department of the new address. The transportation department must receive the information at least one week prior to starting bus service to the new address in order to avoid any delays in your child’s transportation.

Transportation

Transportation Information

The North Royalton City Schools 2024-2025 transportation schedules for all students will be available on e-Link beginning Friday, August 16, 2024 after 9:00am.

The information you see on e-link represents the status of routes as of the moment you are viewing. The Transportation Office reserves the right to make changes to this information as we meet the changing needs of the student population.

For the safety of all students, the Transportation Department does not provide bus information for students over the phone.

2024-25 Transportation Information

All students are to be standing at their designated bus stop AT LEAST 5 minutes prior to the stop time. During the first ten (10) days of school, please allow for extra time on routes as ridership and traffic patterns will require adjustments in the route times.

PLEASE NOTE:

Expect the buses to be delayed the first few weeks of school, especially in the afternoon. Afternoon drop-off times are approximate. Buses cannot depart from the schools until they are released by the school administrator, which takes longer the first few weeks of the school year.

For up-to-the-minute bus status, download the Here Comes The Bus app. Please make sure to check the app for the status of your child's bus BEFORE calling the Transportation Department. We experience an influx of calls during the first several weeks of school, especially during peak times.

Peak times in the Transportation Department are from 6:30 am - 9:30 am and again from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. If you have an inquiry that is not urgent, please call between the hours of 9:30 am - 1:30 pm when our call volume is greatly reduced.

Non-Public School Transportation Opt-In 2024-25 School Year

The North Royalton Transportation Department is asking all of our resident families who attend non-public schools that are eligible for transportation to OPT IN for school bus transportation in an effort to increase the effective use of our available resources. You MUST be a resident of the city of North Royalton to complete this form.  Please note that all students still remain eligible for transportation, but only those that have completed this form and plan to utilize transportation will be routed on a bus.

We request this form be completed by Friday, June 21, 2024 to ensure transportation for the first day of school.  Forms received after this date will require at least 2-3 school days to process and may not receive transportation for the first day of school.

This form MUST be completed each school year, including new enrollees and those that have previously used transportation.  This form must be completed for each student using transportation in your family.

Please contact the Transportation Department if your needs for transportation change after submitting this form, and we'll make the necessary adjustments.

Transportation To Other Schools

Here Comes The Bus

As a part of this new system, the school will be offering an app for parents called “Here Comes the Bus.” This app can be downloaded on a mobile device in the app store and allows a parent and student to know when the bus is approaching the designated stop or entered the neighborhood depending on the selected settings in the app.

Use of the app is meant as an additional tool to assist parents in planning their morning routines and does not excuse “last minute” arrival to the bus stop, as this can create a potentially dangerous situation.  Students will still be required to be at their bus stop at least five minutes prior to their assigned pickup time and wait in their driver designated place of safety, as this is a state-wide rule as set forth by the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC 3301-83-13).

Parents will receive a notification when the bus is approaching, and the transportation department can send messages to parents in the case that the bus has a delay or breaks down.

The app uses a software called Synovia Solutions that was developed more than 16 years ago for company management of fleet vehicles.
