Lil' Bears Preschool

Mike McGinnis

Welcome to Lil' Bears Preschool! Your child begins their learning years in an environment that is warm, caring and geared specifically to the needs of the young learner. Our staff is eagerly awaiting the arrival of your children. The staff continues their goal of providing an academic and social environment that encompasses high expectations for the children’s learning. Preschool is often a child’s first formal learning experience. Our goal at Lil' Bears is to make your experience with us smooth and welcoming.

Each new school year, there are many emotions that children experience as they begin this new adventure. They are excited and scared and worried and thrilled. Those emotions can be mixed up and hard to sort through. Please feel free to stop in with any questions and concerns you may have. What may seem like “old hat” to us feels very new to you. Everyone here at Lil' Bears will be more than willing to assist you in any way.

Again, welcome. I look forward to sharing a year of wonder and excitement with you and your child.

Sincerely,

Mike McGinnis

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN OUR PROGRAM

North Royalton City Schools “Lil’ Bears Preschool,” which is located at North Royalton Elementary, is primarily a center based classroom environment that is designed to help serve students roughly ages three and four.  As a public school program, our structure is designed to meet the needs of students in the community with identified disabilities, while providing a great learning environment for all of our students. Our Center Based classrooms have no more than 16 children per room.  Eight of those students in each room are "typically developing peers" that we select through a screening process to help find strong models for our classrooms. Typical developing peer positions are tuition based. The other eight slots are held for students that follow an Individualized Education Plan.  We have class four days a week, Tuesday through Friday. Our younger children are here from 9:30 to 12:00, while our older students come in the afternoon from 1:00 - 3:30.

We begin our peer screening process in January. Students come in on two occasions to visit the classrooms and provide you with an opportunity to see our program.  We notify our peers by mid March, and begin to compile our waiting list at that time. If you would like to get on our waiting list for our current year, or our peer screening list for next year, please contact us at North Royalton Elementary 440-582-9060.

If you have concerns about your child's development,  are interested in our program, or would like more information, please contact us at North Royalton Elementary 440-582-9060.
