District Snack Policy
The North Royalton City School District recognizes that the health and safety of our students is of utmost importance. We continually strive to maintain a healthy school atmosphere for all individuals. At the start of the 2010 -11 school year, the District implemented a shared snack guideline to promote safety, consistency and equal access for the growing number of elementary age children who have life-threatening food allergies. We will continue these policies in the coming school year.

CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES THAT INCLUDE FOOD
Our First and Second Graders skyped with Lcpl(Lance Corporal) Eric C.Schellentrager from the United States Marine Corps. He is a former student of Valley Vista and a graduate of the North Royalton Class of 2010. Eric is stationed in Okinawa, Japan, until May of 2014.
The students asked him questions, performed a patriotic song for him, wrote letters and brought many care packages for him. Thank You Valley Vista families for your support!
We would also like to thank Eric for visiting with us and his mother, Mrs.Linda Schellentrager, for being with us for this special assembly. It was a very inspirational way to end our school year!
