OGT Week Schedule March 15-19, 2010

All students in Grades 9 and 10 will be testing this week. The 9th grade students will be taking the practice OGT and the 10th grade students will be taking the “official” OGT required for graduation. Testing room locations for the students will be posted March 12. The students will be grouped alphabetically.

NOTE: 9th and 10th periods must be scheduled together for CVCC students. Senior CVCC students will miss class all week since they will not be here in the afternoon for the morning period classes.

  • BRING TWO #2 PENCILS
  • CHECK LISTS POSTED IN ALL CLASSROOMS FOR ROOM ASSIGNMENTS BY ALPHABET

After-Prom Committee

2010 NORTH ROYALTON HIGH SCHOOL AFTER-PROM COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Any parent of a NRHS junior or senior is welcome to join the AFTER-PROM planning committee. Any parent who would like to assist at the after-prom event on May 1, would need to attend at least one of the planning meetings, from February 18 to April 26.

NRHS AFTER-PROM DETAILS
WHO: Open to any NRHS junior or senior and their dates
DATE: May 1, 2010
WHERE: Ehrnfelt Recreation Center, 18100 Royalton Road, Strongsville
TIME: Doors open at 10pm for committee. Check-in for students at 11:30 pm to 12:30 am. After prom event is over at 5:00 am.
COST: A portion of the paid prom ticket pays for entrance to the after prom.

New Driving Law

In hopes of "ringing" in a safer new year, North Royalton City Council has passed a law severely restricting one's ability to use his or her mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle. The ordinance, which takes effect this week, prohibits texting or talking on the phone while driving, yet allows drivers over the age of eighteen to use a voice-activated telephone or wireless headset. However, minors, because of their greater likeliness to cause an accident while distracted, are not permitted to use such devices.
